Matouš Horčička
Junior Researcher
Matouš is a junior researcher at Peace Research Center Prague and a Ph.D. student of Middle Eastern Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University.
Research focus
In his research, Matouš focuses on contemporary Iran, especially the areas of Iranian constitutional system, and the Islamic Republic's approach to international relations.
BACKGROUND
Matouš received his M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. He also attended study-abroad programs at the University of Edinburgh and Shahid Chamran University in Ahvaz, focusing on Iran and the MENA region. Beyond academia, he is a research fellow at the Prague-based think tank, the Association for International Affairs, and works as a head of production at IRAN:CI Film Festival in Prague.
