Tomáš Weiss
Head of Research
Tomáš Weiss is a senior researcher at Peace Research Center Prague.
He is also a Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of International Studies at Charles University and Jean Monnet Chair in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies.
Research focus
In his research, Tomáš focuses on the European Union foreign and security policy, particularly on the position of small states in the EU and the adjustment of national foreign and security policies due to EU membership.

BACKGROUND
Tomáš studied European Studies in Prague and Hamburg, and received his Ph.D. in Area Studies from Charles University in 2011. He was a visiting researcher at the Department of Politics and International Studies, University of Cambridge and a visiting fellow at Clare Hall in 2018-2019.
