Lauren Sukin

Dr. Lauren Sukin is an Assistant Professor of International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Dr. Sukin is also an affiliate at LSE’s United States Centre, Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC), and the Nuclear Policy Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
Research focus
Dr. Sukin’s research examines issues of international security, focusing on the role of nuclear weapons in alliance politics. Her broader research agenda includes work on cybersecurity, crisis politics, and Indo-Pacific security. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from the Department of Political Science at Stanford University as well as A.B.s in Political Science and Literary Arts from Brown University.
