The Peace Research Center Prague (PRCP) is an interdisciplinary Center of Excellence based at Charles University.
The common analytical and normative focus of Peace Research Center Prague (PRCP) is on the prevention, management, and transformation of conflicts in world politics.
Our Mission is to:
advance theoretical and empirical knowledge in peace and conflict studies
build a permanent platform for collaborative interdisciplinary research
provide an opportunity for talented junior scholars to develop their academic careers
The interdisciplinary approach of the Peace Research Center Prague (PRCP) builds on the long tradition of continental peace and conflict research practiced by European institutions such as the Peace Research Institute Oslo, Peace Research Institute Frankfurt, and Stockholm. In line with this tradition, our team draws on insights from political science, international relations, area studies, security studies, international law, international political economy, political sociology, and social psychology.
